Vonn / Ligety / Miller ramp it up for the US Ski Team

The only stops in North America for the World Cup this season, Lake Louise, Aspen and Beaver Creek, showed the Americans can do especially well on their home turf.

Highlights included a first place in the Women's Downhill for Vonn, a forth place for Ligety in the Giant Slalom, a forth place for Bode Miller in his signature wild ride style on the famous "Bird's of Prey" Downhill course, and darkhorse Andrew Weibrecht's crowd pleasing rise from a 48th starting position to a fifth place in the downhill leg of the Super Combined (in which he placed 19th overall).

Vonn is now the #1 ranked in World Cup Standing with 389 points, while Ligety is 6th with 175 points. Lindsey earned her 13th downhill title and 23rd overall World Cup victory on Friday.
